Samosa Indian recipe

Ingredients

The ingredients are – mashed potatoes, finely chopped onions (about ½ cup), finely chopped green pepper (about ¼ cup), unsalted butter, plain flour (about 1/3 cup all packed), salt and pepper to taste (we use about ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper).

How it make it;

Cooking this recipe is not very difficult, but the process must be followed very carefully. The amount of ingredients is given below in cups:

Turn on the oven to 425 °F. Spread a sheet of aluminum foil on your working surface and place a store-bought piecrust on top. Spread about 2 tablespoons of butter over the bottom and sides of the piecrust, using your fingers in a gentle and circular motion to achieve even coverage. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of flour over the butter and use your fingertips to pat it gently into the butter like you are making a sand castle. Add about 2 tablespoons of water (½ tablespoon at a time), use your fingertips to spread the water around, as though you were painting with wet fingers. Keep spreading and adding more water until all the flour is sticky and damp.

Mash potatoes, and add chopped onions, chopped green peppers, salt and pepper to it. Stir and spread the potato,onion mixture over the bottom of the piecrust. Sprinkle some salt and pepper over the potato mixture, as well as a splash of white vinegar (optional), and dot 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on top.

Fold up both sides of the dough, leaving about an inch unsealed at each end. Seal all but about 1½ inches unsealed at each end. Crimp gently with your thumb and forefinger to form a seal.
